I'd like to see the notifications about an event submitted to the front end submission form go to the submitter rather than the organizer as that is the person most likely handling the submission and pr for the event.

It would benefit the event producers and promoters as they usually have a person in charge of submitting event info to various online calendars and this person is probably often not the organizer/producer.
