Add an option to use OSM instead of Google Maps

Not everyone is fond of the idea of sending to Google data about each visitor to their website. OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a strong alternative to Google Maps, and, as a collaborative project similar to Wikipedia, has proven more reactive than Google Maps to update the map after dramatic events (for example after the earthquake in Haiti)

There is already an OSM plugin that works for posts and pages : so it is just a matter of having it appear on the edit page for events as well. The plugin makes it possible to have more than a single marker, so someone planning a guided tour event could trace the whole path on the map and have it show up in the event page.

This would be good.  Google maps references hang in China unless is used.

Hello! Thanks for the idea and for the comments on it.

We will keep checking the votes for it in order to send it to development.

This! Now that Google requires an attached Credit Card to use their maps API using google maps API has become too burdensome.
