When event organizers add an event URL, if they don't properly format the URL with the http:// in front, then the URL gets buggy and doesn't work. Let's help them be successful and Force a correct URL to be submitted by event organizers, e.g. if a www.hello.com gets submitted without the http:// in front, reject the submission and be UTTERLY CLEAR in the pop-up box or message that tells the event submitter how to be successful in submitting their URL>
To me this is a bug and sarting with www used to work just fine.
When a website URL is entered in the Website URL window for an Event, such as www.visitjulian.com, now http://live-timely-xbzlqggz.time.ly/ is being mistakenly added to the URL by Timely!
Maybe Timely can add "starting with https:// or http://" immediately after "Your Website URL" like it is with the "Registration URL".

Hello!
Thanks for the idea and for the comments.
We already shipped to our hosted calendars a fix for it. So when an event submitter enters an URL without the protocol, we are automatically adding "http://" to the URL.
Thanks,
Timely Dev Team
