limit total number of tickets to be sold per event

It would be great if you could specify a total maximum number of tickets to sell for a given event (regardless of type). As it is, there's no way to prevent overselling the venue if you have multiple event types available.

Isaac, you can enter a limit for each ticket type, and the limit of the total tickets will become the sum of those limits, for all ticket types.

Yes, I know. But imagine that you have a 50 seat room and you're selling tickets to an event to both members (discount price) and non-members (full price). You can set a limit of 50 for each of the two ticket types, but there is nothing to prevent 80 total ticket sales -- more than your venue can accommodate. My request is based on a desire to offer multiple ticket types but never oversell the venue.

Thanks for the clarification Isaac. The current workaround until we'll implement this would be to make sure the sum of the ticket types limits is not greater than the venue capacity. But i do understand your very valid point. Thanks for raising this.

I agree that this is a major limitation and a nightmare for the event managers. Please fix it ASAP!
