What I have done to overcome this problem is create a separate "category" called "Upcoming Events" that only shows up on the event feed and posterboard view if it is selected. Then I create two event listings for every recurring class, one that is for the first meeting (and has the "upcoming events" category selected) and one that is for all subsequent meeting times (and does not have "upcoming events" selected).
This works reasonable well, except that the first event listing of the class only shows the first meeting day at the top of the event and this can be confusing for our viewers - plus it is time consuming for me.
I am assuming that we are not the only organization that uses Timely for recurring classes and events, and that others have run into this problem as well.
What I am wondering is if there is a way to fix this issue. Perhaps there could be an option in the event date/time section of the event that allows you to choose to only show the initial meeting in the event feed, posterboard view, agenda view, etc.. (So it would show only the first date, and not any dates you select in the "repeat" window.) Repeat dates would only show up on the main calendar.
I have no idea how difficult this would be to achieve, but it would be a great help to me (I would even be happy to buy the Pro version if this were available!) and would be a great help to many other organizations that offer classes, workshops, etc,.
I would appreciate any ideas or help you can provide on this topic.
