As calendar owner I want to have the ability choose the grouping of the events in the newsletter I send. A dropdown that says I can either group them by time of event or category of event.
When the "group by category" is selected, the events INSIDE the category should be displayed in the order of the event date/time.
This is excellent and hav ing the events available as a widget to polace inside a standard Mail Chimp newsletter with other content would be helpful.
Right now this needs to be done all by modifying code which is not easily duplicated with entry level production people.

Agreed - I would like to be able to send automatic scheduled weekly emails to category subscribers. A widget could generate the events within the category (kids fun), and additional widgets could load the featured events or perhaps a specialty tag like Summer Camps. Then I 'd like to be able to schedule this and have it automatically sent weekly, with updated info. I'd like multiple widgets per email for a more customized email.
Currently the way the mailchimp system stands, with multiple territories and multiple categories, the manual labor to develop and send the weekly emails makes this impossible.
Revenue will come with more targeted smart marketing to the users that have claimed a preference for a specific category.
