Cool Bulk Action: Select Events For Widget

Bulk Select Events To Feature In Your Widget

1. Suppose you could go here in your dashboard:
https://dashboard.time.ly/calendar/event-list

2. Select 3 or 4 or some number of events that you would like to feature in your WIDGET

3. Select the Bulk Actions drop down and select WIDGET or SLIDER, opening a preconfigured EMBED page (https://dashboard.time.ly/calendar/embed)

4. Then fine tune the WIDGET or SLIDER embed code and deploy the embed code in your desired spot.

--------------------------------

Additional considerations:

1. Suppose I want the widget to fit a specific area and that area is limited to showcasing 4 events, but I have 6 events I would like rotated.  In that case, I imagine some options for selecting which 4 to display at any given time may be:  Random Selection, By Date (i.e. which occur first), Sticky First (see below) then RANDOM or then BY DATE

2. Sticky First: If one event is paying more than others to be featured, you want this to always be seen until the event date passes.  So stickying one of the events would feature it first and all the time.  Non stickied events would then be displayed according to the options selected, either at RANDOM or BY DATE.

----------------------------------

Currently, the only way I know how to select events for the widget is to give them their own tag then filter the widget embed code using that tag, which gives slightly less control.  An alternative to the above which would be cool is to follow this tagging method and then be given the ability to affect the display of those tagged events as explained under the Additional Considerations laid out above.

Final Thoughts
1. An alternative to the above which would be cool is to follow this tagging method and then be given the ability to affect the display of those tagged events as explained under the Additional Considerations laid out above.

2. EDIT: One option is to make tagging events in bulk available on this page and then providing the customizations (under Additional Considerations above) on the EMBED page.
